Description

Civet is a musky, animalic oil with a warm, sensual aroma, traditionally used in high-end perfumery.

Civet is derived from the secretions of the African civet cat. It has a musky, deep, and complex aroma that has been used in perfumery for centuries to add warmth and sensuality to fragrances. Due to ethical concerns, synthetic civet is now more commonly used, but natural civet remains a luxurious ingredient in niche perfumery.
